Head coach Jonty Gorley spoke of Davies said: "It's good to have Curtis for the remainder of the season instead of being on loan. Curtis has been good for us.

"He's another hooker, like Cain Robb, who can do 80 minutes, this is good because he's the only recognised hooker in the squad. I don't think Curtis has missed a tackle yet in the games he has played for us and also so his service from dummy half is excellent.

"Curtis is extremely fit, probably the fittest in the squad. On top of this this is a very likeable lad and very easy to get along with as a coach because he does all the right things."

Interim CEO Ashley Kilpatrick said: "I’m delighted that we have been able to keep Curtis permanently until the end of the season. Ever since Curtis came in from Workington I think he’s been good for us, he defends well, his distribution from dummy half is good and he can play big minutes if we need him to.

"Curtis will be looking for a big end to the season so he can push to get into that Welsh World Cup squad.

"I’d like to thank the Vice Presidents for helping get Curtis here permanently they’ve been brilliant all season making my life a little easier recruiting players, if anyone does want to join please contact Des Byrne."
