EXCITED Seascale children took part this week in the 10th anniversary of the Daily Mile.
The event which brings primary school children together around the UK had been put on hold during the covid years.
It's aim is to help to keep children of all ages and backgrounds healthy and promote good mental wellbeing.
Children aged four to ten at Seascale Nursery and Primary School, donned the familiar pink shirts to take part in the mile-long run around the school grounds.
Teacher Mrs Merry was very proud to see the event return to the school. She said: "The whole school took part, from Nursery to year six, which we ran as a competitive event between the four teams of Green, Blue, Red and Yellow.
"It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to be able to walk and run together in their teams. This is something we have not been able to do through Covid restrictions and the children get so much from mixing across the age ranges.
"The T-shirts added a lovely splash of colour to the proceedings, helping to mark the celebration of the Daily Mil's 10th anniversary this year."
