Copeland Netball League is under way for a new season.

All Saints got the better of Aztecs 34-31 after an evenly-matched game, with the score 17-17 at the break. It was just the additional experience of All Saints that saw them pull away in the latter stages.

Wild Mustangs had a convincing 28-3 victory over Warriors with some accurate shooting and strong defence on display.

Green Hawks began their game well against Blue Diamonds and went on to win 35-13. Several interceptions worked in their favour and they upped the pace to win, despite the best efforts of Diamonds.

But Green Hawks then lost out in a tight game against Purple Turtles, with the latter winning 29-27. There was some great shooting on display in a fast-paced game.

Hall Park opened their acount with a 41-14 victory over Jumping Jacks with experience proving crucial in the end. Accuracy from Hall Park shooters Lucy Sayle and Lauren Bold brought them home.

Jailbirds also beat Jumping Jacks, the score at 47-19, pulling away quickly.

Beelzebubs’ strong pace from the off saw them home 32-18 against Raptors, who came into their own after a shaky start.

Jumping Jacks and Second Chance played out a hard-fought game until the latter stages when Second Chance pulled away to win 47-19. Mid-court players Sonia Dryden and Lisa Powe played well.

A fast-paced game between Vipers and Magpies was close at half time but Magpies flew ahead in the third period. They went on to win 35-21.

Panthers clinched a close game with Red Dragons 36-28, with both teams hungry for the points.

It was a well matched game with strong passing and good shooting.

Hall Park, despite starting with six players, picked up a second win, this time over Jailbirds 40-25.

Second Chance wrapped up the action with a 41-16 win over Vipers.
