Whitehaven Rugby League has announced the re-signing of Perry Singleton as the utility forward has signed a new 12-month deal for the 2024 season.

‘Pez’ first joined Haven on loan in May 2022 making his debut away to Widnes Vikings making 17 appearances scoring two tries across the campaign making the move permanent later in the season.

In his first full season in 2023, Perry has made 24 appearances scoring his only try of the season in the round 9 victory over Newcastle Thunder.

Speaking about signing for a third season at the club Singleton spoke saying “I don’t mind where I play, I just want to go out there and give it my all. I love playing Jonty and I love playing for this team and I just want to enjoy my rugby.”

Haven head coach Jonty Gorley spoke of Singleton saying “Pez is an experienced player and knows what his job is regardless of where I play him. He often says "Where at this week Jont?", my answer is always "could be anywhere Pez".

He's really a middle now he's older but has played backrow and centre for me.

Wherever Pez does play he always does a good job, he's tough and uncompromising and I like the way he goes about his game. So to have Pez for another year will only add to my squad.”
