Whitehaven Rugby League is delighted to announce the re-signing of Jake Carter on a 12-month deal.
This news comes ahead of the half-back’s preparations to play for Cumbria on Friday evening.
Carter who initially joined the club on a trial earlier in the campaign made 12 appearances for Haven scoring two tries after forming a half-back partnership alongside Jamie Doran.
Speaking after Cumbria’s first training sessions ahead of Kyle Amor’s testimonial game Carter said: “ I really enjoyed the year when I came in, it’s been a tough year both on and off the field for the club but the way the lads have stuck together.
"Staying in the Championship is massively positive, I’ve loved it and I can’t wait to have a full go at it next year.”
Speaking about representing Cumbria on Friday evening Carter proudly spoke saying: “I was lucky enough to have a decent game against Jamaica and it was one of the proudest moments of my career and I want to do it again in front of the Whitehaven crowd.
"It’s good to get everyone together, there’s no egos everyone is proud to be Cumbrian and I’m sure we will put on a good performance.”
