By Andrew Clarke

The Whitehaven News can exclusively reveal that comedy superstar Lee Evans will take to the stage on Friday, April 25 (8pm).

Famous for his high-energy performances and record-breaking tours, Evans is one of the world’s most successful stand-ups. He has also made his mark in Hollywood, starring in hit films including The Fifth Element, There’s Something About Mary and Night at the Museum.

Debbie Graham, Rosehill’s marketing manager, said: “Everyone is ecstatic to have Lee Evans perform at Rosehill. We simply can’t wait to share the news with our audience!”

Evans’ Rosehill show, Work In Progress, will see him perform and hone his new material – referring to and making notes as he goes – ahead of his nationwide Monsters tour which begins in August and includes six nights at the O2 in London.

Having read all the publicity and ticket sale arrangements for the event, spent over an hour on the phone constantly redialling, twice being answered by an answer phone, and being cut off by the answer phone, also trying via the web site and being bombed out at the submit stages I and probably many others think this was a very unfair and biased sale considering the subsequent reports of multiple sales the day before release. NOT very good work!
