Last updated at 12:02, Thursday, 26 April 2012
PUPILS from Ennerdale School are among thousands from all over the country to have their pictures projected on to Buckingham Palace.
Giant images of Her Majesty the Queen covered the palace over several days until Saturday, made up of over 200,000 children’s self-portraits
And 23 youngsters from Ennerdale School are among those to be among the royal picture gallery with their very own watercolours.
The project – entitled Face Britain – was organised by The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts to create artwork to celebrate young people before the Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 Games.
Twenty-four projectors were used to cover the entire facade of the palace with images.
The self-portraits are also being simultaneously broadcast on big screens in 18 locations across the UK.
