'Meat cleaver' threat to kill charge

A WHITEHAVEN man is charged with making a threat to kill.
Yucel Abdullah Fakioglu, 43, of Lowther Street, is also charged with carrying a meat cleaver/knife, without good reason, on Whitehaven’s Duke Street and using/threatening unlawful violence.
The alleged threat to kill was against Nejat Alkan, of Chattanooga.
Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse adjourned the case until April 22 to Carlisle Crown Court.
