Man on hoax phone call charge

A MAN has been charged with allegedly making hoax phone calls to the police.
Maurice Jones, 62, of Inglenook Caravan Park, Lamplugh, was arrested by police in the early hours of Monday morning on suspicion of persistently making use of public communication networks to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety.
He was interviewed by detectives and later charged with the offence.
He will appear at West Cumbria Courthouse on November 28.
