Latest food hygiene reports revealed

EIGHT Copeland businesses were visited in December in the latest round of food hygiene inspections – with all but two receiving the maximum score.

More scores on the doors

As part of the Scores on the Doors scheme, Millom Network Centre, Haile Mill Better Bread, and Spar Superstore, Pow Beck House, Johnson House and Happy Hours Day Nursery (all Whitehaven) received five stars with Arrighi’s and The Castle (both Whitehaven) receiving four.

Copeland Council uses the rating system to allow people to easily see the standard of hygiene at food businesses.

Under the system, businesses are assessed for their compliance with hygiene, confidence in food hygiene management and structural compliance.

Businesses are then given a rating from one to five stars.

Scores of all of the food businesses in Copeland can be found at www.scoresonthedoors. org.uk.
