SCOUTS and guides from across London, Kent and 22 countries around the world descended on a campsite in Bromley for 10 days of activities.
Downe Scout Activity Centre in Birdhouse Lane, Downe played host to 2,000 youngsters who took part in the Campdowne International Jamboree.
It offered the scouts and guides the opportunity to take part in more than 50 different activities such as grass slope sledging.
One of the highlights was creating a new Guinness world record by making the world's largest scout scarf made of 549 smaller ones.
The camp organiser, Phil Day, said: "Being a scout is all about adventure, that's why scouting is a million times bigger than when it started.
"We have been working on this year's event for the past four years to make sure that the young people will have the time of their lives."
