A recently removed postbox on Rutland Avenue, Whitehaven, will be replaced, the Royal Mail has confirmed.
Some concern has been raised in the Hensingham area over the sudden removal of the box. However, the Royal Mail says the box was removed after being struck by a car and will be replaced later this month.
It directs customers to the postboxes on Kirkstone Road and Chapel House as a temporary alternative.
