Travel disruption has forced a west Cumbrian theatre to postpone an appearance by David Starkey.
The Cumbrian-born historian and broadcaster was due to appear tonight at the Carnegie Theatre in Workington with his talk Henry VIII: The First Brexiteer?
But the theatre has announced it will have to reschedule the show after persistent rain led to the cancellation of trains and the closure of roads across the county.
The theatre is discussing a new date with Dr Starkey and his promoter and plans to announce a new date shortly.
