Final health public meeting at Egremont
The final Success Regime public consultation meeting will be held in Egremont tonight from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
It will be held at The Falcon Club, Croadella Avenue, and is the 17th meeting by health chiefs across the county over the past two months.
The Success Regime is proposing to downgrade maternity services at the West Cumberland Hospital to a midwife-only unit with no special care unit.
They are also proposing downgrading children's services at the West Cumberland Hospital, with all seriously ill youngsters travelling to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary.
