An elderly man was airlifted to hospital after breaking his leg in Whitehaven.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the town at 1pm yesterday.
They were asked to assist the North West Ambulance Service after the man, believed to be in his 70s, had broken his femur.
The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team administered pain relief to the patient and airlifted him to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
The flight took 15 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
