POLICE are investigating a series of incidents which have seen vehicles scratched in a Cumbrian town.
A 'large number' of vehicles in an area of Whitehaven had received scratches to their bodywork.
The value of the damage is reported to be £10,000 and twelve vehicles were involved.
A spokesperson said: "We are aware of a crime series which occurred yesterday, May 8, on Foxhouses Road, Esk Avenue, and several surrounding roads, whereby a large number of vehicles have had scratches to their bodywork.
"If your vehicle has been damaged and you have not reported it, please contact 101 and quote log 166 of May 8.
"We are also actively seeking CCTV and video doorbell footage between 3pm and 7pm on May 8, in this area, which may assist our investigation."
