A holiday park owner is hoping to attract local customers by offering discounts on his properties.

William Stewart, owner of Camelot Holiday Park, at Longtown, is targeting buyers from Cumbria and Lancashire to purchase either a holiday home or downsize permanently onto the park, which has full residential status.

Holiday home properties at The Paddocks, the latest enclave of homes on the park, include fully furnished models from manufacturers including ABI, Willerby and Carnaby, while downsizing park home models are from £120,000.

“We have holiday home owners from all over here at Camelot Holiday Park, including Scotland, the North East of England, and as far down as Liverpool,” said William.

“But I don’t want to forget about the many local people from all over the North West, including those from Cumbria itself. We have found that our owners want to be able to reach their holiday homes in well under two hours, so that they can enjoy a break as often as possible. Many come every weekend.

"We also have owners from the bigger towns in Cumbria and Lancashire who have downsized here to get away to the country and enjoy less maintenance, together with peace and quiet on our family run park."

He added: “At the moment, I’m taking £10,000 off all prices if you buy before the end of the month. Everything represents fantastic value as all holiday homes are fully furnished, decorated, and come with useable outside space, including decking and private driveways.

“We’ll also pay your site fees until next year – this is another saving of over £2,000."

Today’s industry-leading luxury holiday homes are turnkey properties, equipped with features such as luxury fitted kitchens with integrated appliances, en-suites, dressing areas, cosy snugs and floor to ceiling height windows.

With a secure gated entrance, Camelot Holiday Park is open all year round.
