THE Rum Story is calling out to anyone interested in operating its cafe.

This is the last chance for any person or group that would like to take over operating the cafe in The Rum Story centre.

People have already shown interest in the proposition and the team at The Rum Story is now asking anyone else to come forward.

Due to ongoing struggles with footfall Jason Roper, who ran the cafe, closed the doors in February 2024 after reopening the venue in January 2023.

A spokesperson said: "The Rum Story's café and courtyard space is a fantastic, flexible area with lots of potential. We've already been contacted by several people interested in taking it over, and this is a polite nudge to anyone else who might still be thinking about it.

"Please submit proposals by 1pm on Tuesday, April 23.

"We recommend all potential tenants contact us to arrange a viewing before preparing formal submissions.

"Please get in touch by emailing info@rumstory.co.uk or calling 01946 592933.

"Meanwhile, the café may be temporarily closed but The Rum Story visitor attraction and shop are open 7 days a week as normal, with a selection of drinks and cakes available in our courtyard shop."
