A SUSPECTED stalker has been arrested in Whitehaven, according to police.
Police officers worked with colleagues in South Cumbria to apprehend the man today, February 9.
A spokesperson said in a social media post: "PC 2367 and PC 3157 worked on behalf of South Cumbria police colleagues to effectively locate and arrest a wanted male in Whitehaven this morning.
"Despite officers being on opposite sides of the town, a quick and coordinated response led to the male being arrested for stalking without violence minutes after he was initially sighted.
"Cumbria Constabulary takes a proactive and positive action approach to domestic abuse and it will not be tolerated."
