AN EMPTY former nursery building will open its doors to children once again - under new ownership.

Little Explorers in Cleator Moor will expand with a new setting in the former Tamalder Childcare centre in Whitehaven.

Tamalder Childcare closed suddenly in September after the company behind it was served with a winding up notice.

Now the owners of Little Explorers, based on the Leconfield industrial estate, is set to create an ‘exciting’ and ‘nurturing’ new setting in the Meadow Road building.

A statement published on the Little Explorers Facebook page said: “We are so excited to announce that we are expanding our Little Explorers family and opening a new setting in Whitehaven.

“We wanted to share this news with you all first, as we are so thankful for the help and support we have had in our Cleator Moor setting.

“Over the next couple of weeks, we will be working hard to ensure that we offer the same nurturing, loving and exciting setting for all new little ones to come and enjoy!

“Whilst we aren’t sure exactly when we will be opening, our next adventure will be at the old Tamalder Childcare centre, we will keep you posted every step of the way.

“In the meantime, if you have any questions specifically regarding our new Whitehaven setting then we have a dedicated email address that you can contact littleexplorers.whitehaven@aol.com.”
