HOSPICE at Home West Cumbria will continue its holiday tradition of 'Light up a Life', the long-standing event allows local residents to pay tribute to lost loved ones.
This year, the charitable organisation is hosting two events. The first will happen at Solway Hall, Whitehaven on Sunday November 26 at 3pm.
There will be poetry readings and performances from hospice staff and volunteers. Dedications to departed loved ones will be marked by candlelight and a remembrance video displaying their photos and messages.
The second occasion is set for St George’s Church, Millom on Sunday December 3 at 3pm. This event will feature choir performances, prayers and readings.
The Christmas tree lights will be switched on during moments of reflection, to mark the dedications made in memory of loved ones.
Marketing and Income Generation Team Leader, Gemma Bell said: “Our Light up a Life service is for everyone, not just those who have received our care."
"We know how important Light up a Life is for many people, and we hope that our events provide some comfort to those who need it.”
