A MAN has appeared in court accused of making and distributing indecent images of children.
Toqeer Khan, 29, of Miterdale Close, Whitehaven, faced the following charges when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court:
- Making Category A, B and C indecent photos of a child
- Possessing nine extreme pornographic images portraying an act which threatened life
- Distributing Category A, B and C indecent photos of children
The offences are alleged to have taken place in Flimby between 2019 and 2022.
The case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court for trial, with a plea and trial preparation hearing set for October 30.
Khan was granted unconditional bail.
