DRIVERS in and around Copeland should be on the lookout for three upcoming road closures, according to National Highways.

One of these closures is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

Currently in place is a closure on the A595, which began at 8pm on February 14 and is set to continue until 5am on September 30. This closure, which affects both northbound and southbound lanes, spans from Howgate Roundabout to Whitehaven.

Motorists can expect moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes due to traffic signals and weekend carriageway closures for the reconstruction of the carriageway.

Additionally, two more closures will be implemented over the next two weeks.

From 9am on August 15 to 5pm on August 17, there will be slight delays of under 10 minutes on the A595 northbound and southbound, spanning from Calder bridge to Blackbeck. Multiway traffic signals will be in place.

On August 20, from 9am to 5pm, slight delays of under 10 minutes can be expected at Thornhill on the A595 northbound and southbound.
