THIS week's Nostalgia can be summed up in one word - cute!

As temperatures drop and the days get shorter, just sit back and enjoy the warmth of these photos.

We have a mock wedding from 2007, 15 years ago. Are some of those children married for real now or, in their early 20s, are they enjoying the single life while focusing on careers?

One of the cutest photos is young Pippin, dressed as an apple for the Egremont Crab Fair. Will she smile at the memory if she sees this photo? We hope so because she really is gorgeous.

Then there are the children from St Patrick and Gregory's School. It is not clear what they are singing, but it definitely looks like a tall tale!

The Orgill Indians look good in their Egremont Crab Fair fancy dress costumes - and as long as they are portraying heroic warriors we can overlook any political correctness!

The photos of St Bridget's Nursery are cute. Little Amy Wilson, sniffing a pot of herbs, is either concentrating very hard or is really quite undecided about the smell!

I was a child of the 50s when we played cowboys and Indians all day long without any thought, or knowledge, of who were the goodies and who were the baddies.

I also grew up in an education system that bears no resemblance whatsoever to what children experience today.

They don't just learn facts and figures about history but are 'evacuated' to give them just a small taste of what life was like for young children in World War II.

Classrooms are much brighter, there is talk about reading for ENJOYMENT!

Anyone who remembers Janet and John books will probably remember that, even in three-word sentences,  John had fun running and jumping while Janet was being subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) trained to be an obedient wife and mother.

Maybe school days are the best days of our lives - at least for today's children.
