CUMBRIA'S first-ever dance music festival arrives in June, with DJ'ing talent arriving from across the country.

Sancfest In The Lakes takes over Derwent Park, in Workington, on Saturday June 9, with a main outdoor arena and four covered stages making for a huge day of hard house, tech house, old skool and dance classics.

Presented by Sanctuary & Sectioned, the inaugural event will be headlined by Ultrabeat - a familiar face in Cumbria, having packed out venues across the county in recent years.

The Merseyside act first emerged with a remix of the Force and Styles single Pretty Green Eyes back in 2003, which reached number two in the UK Singles Chart.

Fellow chart outfit N-Trance will also be one of the big draws on the main stage - with some of the most recognisable tunes in 90s dance music history, expect to hear hit singles Set You Free and Forever among the set.

Wigan DJ duo KB Project appear with live singer Nikki, as do Eezy Inc with vocalist Sophie, who appeared on the single You Got It All.

The rest of the main stage line-up leans towards bounce and classic dance, with club legends John G, Andy Pendle, Rob Cain, Zun!e, John Neal, Andy Farrell, Chris Pears, Gary K, and hosts Efeeze, Finchy, Cover and MC B all taking to the stage.

Of the covered stages, Arena 1 brings the best in Makina, hard house and hard bounce, with Glichie & Jaylee, Pokyeo FX and Dario Rossi among the best-known names. Joining them will be Lee Caley, Joe Taylor, Mikey O'Hare, Andy Effect, Andy K, Milsy, Ben Boag, Dutty Donkers, Doof & Reedy, Lee Rich, and Kieran Clark, as well as MCs Stretch, Turbo D, Arkie, Layback, Ben Rushin, Eazy and Jonesy.

The second arena is dedicated to Old Skool and Italian sounds, featuring Matt Fear, Jagga, Tatty, Keith Capstick, Candy & Grundy, Charlie Howes, Jamie C, Jonno, Mikey P, Frenzie, Ave, Paul EC, and Aki D.

The line-up is completed with the Tech House arena, with local favourites Matt Reid, Lewis Wood and Jonny Donat, the main stage's John Neal, Jimmy Rush, Plummer and Kieron Foster set to feature.

A VIP area for classic house and retro will feature DJs from across the bill.

The 11-hour event will also see three bars in operation, as well as hot and cold food, and merchandise stalls.
