TOUCH Down Festival has undoubtedly the most impressive line-up in its four-year history, with acts travelling from around the country to be at this weekend's event in Workington.

The stage splits have been announced, taking place across two stages in Bart's and one in Lounge 41 - both in Jane Street - with music getting under way at 3pm.

First up on the main Fireball Stage , upstairs in Bart's, will be Furness alt rock five-piece Wolfpeake, making their first appearance at the festival from 3.30pm.

Promising Whitehaven indie act The Northern Threads follow at 4.45pm, with Surry pop punk outfit Homebound at 6.15pm, and highly-rated Manchester band Milestones taking to the stage at 7.45pm.

Cumbrian rock 'n' rollers Hardwicke Circus appear from 9.10pm, before the night's headliners Mallory Knox round things off from 11pm until midnight.

This year, the acoustic stage also moves up to Bart's, with performances taking place in between the sets on the main stage.

Daniellá Clarke kicks off the Pat McNichol Stage proceedings at 3pm, followed by hotly-tipped youngsters Simone Armstrong, at 4.10pm, and Ben Rowlands, at 5.25pm.

Neil Harper, who has been a regular at Touch Down with his band, Colt 45, will be playing a solo set this year, from 6.55pm, followed by Luke Matear at 8.20pm, and Jolan the final act on the stage with a stripped-back performance from 10pm.

Downstairs in the Vanquish Stage , based in the recently-expanded Lounge 41, will be another full set-list of rock and metal acts.

Lancaster post-hardcore outfit Fighting Bears get things under way at 3.15pm, ahead of appearances by guitar and drum duo Winter Band at 4pm, rising South Cumbrian pop punks Fight For Friday at 4.55pm, and Teesside alt rockers Northshore at 5.40pm.

Local groove metal merchants Seek Solace In Ruin return to Touch Down once more, hitting the stage at 7.05pm, before fellow West Cumbrians Drudge appear for the first time, at 8.20pm. The last band on the stage will be ska punks The Hostiles, who were one of the stand-out acts at last year's festival, playing from 10pm.

Tickets are still available via touchdownfestival.bigcartel.com and the wristband exchange will be open in Bart's from 2.30pm on Saturday.
