RESPECTED Cumbrian musician Francis Dunnery presents his annual live show in Egremont this autumn, joined by some special guests.

The guitar virtuoso and original It Bites front man, best known for their top 10 hit Calling All The Heroes, will be back at the Market Hall on Saturday October 20.

The show is a fundraiser for The Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children's Fund - which Francis created in honour of both his parents, with the aim of aiding children’s health, wellness and educational needs in and around Egremont.

Every October, Francis and his friends from around the world, gather in Cumbria for a benefit concert and charity walk in support of the CKDCF.

Dunnery has written, produced and performed music with some of the most successful artists of his time, including Led Zeppelin’s singer Robert Plant, guitar legend Carlos Santana, John Mellencamp, Squeeze stalwart Chris Difford, Stone Roses’ singer Ian Brown, R&B superstar Lauryn Hill, and Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, as well as guesting with a host of bands and artists such as Yes, Asia, Hootie and the Blowfish, and The Syn.

He has worked as a solo artist since 1990, carving out a career of modern rock and blues and various side projects.

In 2013, he put together The Sensational Francis Dunnery Electric Band, which toured songs by his late brother's 70s rock band Necromandus along with material from his own back catalogue.

For the past 13 years, Dunnery has also toured the world performing his 'House Concert Series' - offering his fans the opportunity to host intimate evenings of music, psychology, philosophy, astrology, and humour.

He has taken these unique shows to front rooms in places as far reaching as New Zealand, Australia, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Switzerland and Germany, as well as every corner of the USA and Canada.

The CKDCF Benefit Concert 2018 takes place at Egremont Market Hall on Saturday October 20, from 7pm, and tickets are available in advance via www.ticketweb.uk
