A LINE-UP of comedy circuit favourites will feature at the Florence Arts Centre in October.
Cumbrian stand-up star Dicky Dippinson heads the bill for the event at the Egremont venue on Saturday 6.
The singing farmer became an internet hit, with his YouTube video Fresh Prince ot' Shap, and since taking to comedy, he has been in demand by comedy clubs and festivals.
He has penned a number of other rural-themed songs including Dipping With the Flock Every Day, a spoof of Sitting on the Dock of the Bay, and Shap’s Home, I’m a Farmer to the tune of Sweet Home Alabama.
In Egremont he will be performing some classics and brand new songs for the Florence crowd.
Also on the bill for the night is Callum Oakley, a cheeky young comic from Liverpool, who reached the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent at the tender age of 16, and was awarded the accolade of Liverpudlian Comedian of the Year.
Experienced Hull-based comic Sam Harland will also be travelling for the event, sharing his cynical, yet optimistic comedy tales.
Egremont's own John Lebbon hosts, having established himself as the county's best-known comedy compere.
The show on Saturday October 6 starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are available from the venue's box office.
