Whitehaven RUFC are hoping to revive their youth section - after a 10-year gap.
Lee Jones is keen to resurrect an under-8 side for next season and continue to build from there.
"I felt there was a real gap at the club where the kids are missing out," said Jones.
"It has been 10 years since we had a proper youth section.
"So now we want to start to build the youth section up at the club, bit by bit."
Players aged six to eight are wanted for the new team, both boys and girls and it will be run by Jones, who is a level 2 accredited coach.
Training will begin in the first week of September, as children return to school.
Jones added: "We have been working really closely with the RFU on this but we would also like to hear from potential sponsors.
"Anyone who is willing to come forward and help us out so that we can provide kit and equipment for the new team."
