St Benedict’S RU Club are holding a special taster session for junior players on Sunday.

In the past the club has run teams at under-8s, 10s and 12s age groups but is now planning to extend that for the coming season.

They now plan to cover all age groups from under-7s through to under-13s and already have 80 players on the books but are keen for more to join them.

Jeff Clements, head of the club’s youth section, has been organising the session, which will begin at 1pm at St Benedict’s Mirehouse pitch.
