WHITEHAVEN Rugby League revealed a new signing while also confirming another will not play in 2026.

The club has signed Seaton Rangers hooker Liam Williamson until the end of the 2026 season.

The hooker will now prepare ahead of Sunday's Championship clash vs Newcastle Thunder.

Alongside Mr Williamson's arrival, Whitehaven considered that Chris Taylor will not play in 2026.

A Whitehaven Rugby League spokesperson said: "The experienced centre suffered a shoulder injury last campaign and following liaising with the club’s medical personnel and specialists, a decision has been made for him to miss the 2026 season to focus on rehabilitation with the aim of returning for the 2027 season.

"We will continue to support him on his rehab, with all at the club wishing him well with his recovery."
