EGREMONT ABC's Billie Donaldson boxed on two different shows in two days.

The first fight was on Good Friday at Telford this was a return contest with Catherine constable of Donnington ABC.

She made the four-hour-long journey that morning. Billie put the pressure on from the first bell catching her opponent with nice straight lead backhands as her opponent came in Billie made her opponent miss with good upper body movement to take a clear round.

The second was more of the same with the home fighter wanting to come forward, Donaldson was first to the punch and finished last in the exchanges to take a closer round.

The third was the closest round of the bout as things got scrappy but Donaldson used her cross block to good effect landing good left hooks at close quarters.

Unfortunately, Billie was not rewarded for her good effort on this occasion and lost a very disputed split decision.

On Easter Saturday, during her journey home Billie was offered a contest up in Dundee that day.

With no hesitation, she took the opportunity to go over the border to box Kirsty Curran of the host club Skyaxe.

The first round was close with the Egremont boxer edging it with some nice back foot boxing.

The second and third were all Donaldson as she refused to give ground from centre ring rocking her opponent several times to take a unanimous decision.

Alan Toole, one of Billie's coaches said: "This shows the character of Billie and how keen she is to box. It’s hard to get females boxing and Billie will box at a minute's notice she’s an inspiration to all our younger members."

Billie will box in her first Elite championships this weekend in Wolverhampton.
