WHITEHAVEN Rugby League has announced that Edene Gebbie will soon be coming to the UK to play at the club.
Fans were delighted when the club confirmed the Papua New Guinean international had signed for Whitehaven.
Whitehaven has now stated Gebbie will soon be traveling to West Cumbria.
A club spokesperson said: "Whitehaven Rugby League is delighted to confirm that Edene Gebbie has had his visa approved and the club is now in the process of booking flights for the Papua New Guinean
"There was much fanfare when the club announced the signing of the PNG international with the social media posts announcing his signing viewed by nearly 300,000 people worldwide with that number still growing daily.
"The club would like to thank the Whitehaven RL Vice Presidents for their support in bringing Edene to the UK alongside all their efforts in supporting the club in a number of areas."
