The White Horse Sea Angling Club’s latest match last Sunday was held on north and west piers, fishing up to high water in a strong southerly wind.
1 C Schofield (junior angler), one thornback ray (heaviest fish 6lb 6oz), three dogfish, 11lb 6oz; 2 T Pullin, one thornback ray, three dogfish, 10lb 9oz; 3 A Hartley, three dogfish, one whiting, 6lb 1oz; 4 B Patrickson, three dogfish, one dab, 5lb 14oz.
The next match, this coming Sunday, is from Seascale slipway to Harrington Pier, fishing times 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
This includes the final of this year’s Knockout competition, which is between A Hartley and T Pullin.
A one-hour walk-on time will be in place and the weigh-in will be held at Whitehaven’s North Shore car park.
