The 88 players in Wednesday’s Stableford at Seascale Golf Club enjoyed cold but calm conditions.

David Meagan (nine) and Tom Sharpe (five) were on form and took first and second places in Division One with 38 points, while Bill Jenkinson (eight) claimed third with the best of three 37s.

In the second division it was Liam Towers (11) and Rodger Temple (12) who performed on the day to take first and second with 40 points, followed by Paddy Keys (11) 37.

The day’s best score of 42 points came from James Edwards (24) and Alexander Hodgson (27) in Division Three with Steve Bawden (18) picking up the final prize with 41 points.

Ten valid Twos were returned.

The 2Person Texas Scramble on Sunday attracted 64 teams.

In first place came Jack Stubbings and Joshua Hamand with a nett score of 62.2 off a joint handicap (JH) of 3.8.

John Brocklebank and John Steward (JH 6.2) came second on 62.8.

In third place with a score of 64 (JH 1) were Jack Hunter and Ryan Pearson.

Mark Atkinson and Gary Wise with a round of 64.6 off 4.4 slotted into fourth place.

The final two prizes went to Scott Mahaffy and Andy Wallace on nett 65 off a JH of 1.0 and Tony Hart and Phil Emmett with nett 65.4 off 5.6.
