HARLFC kept their nerve against fellow title contenders Frizington Vets Club to become the Hensingham Darts League champions.

After a very close contest it was the Hensingham team who stayed cool under the pressure to win 7-5 and take the trophy for this season.

In the league’s other games this week, Lowca confirmed their third place in the league by winning 9-3 and condemned the Whitehaven team to a winless season, while in the final game this week Bennie’s were too good on the night for St Begh’s, winning 8-4.

Mark Burns of the Vets recorded a maximum 180 this week.

Next week is a free week but the two outstanding games from the season will be played on that night, and the following Friday it is the league’s 180 competition.
