Young footballers are getting back into the swing of things following a weather-affected spell in the West Cumbria Youth League, with another busy weekend of league and cup fixtures taking place.

In the Under-12 Red Division, Whitehaven AFC Yellow won 2-1 at Cleator Moor Celtic on Friday and Cockermouth Real beat Seaton Village 9-0 on Sunday.

The only Under-12 Blue Division game played saw Bransty Rangers win 3-2 at home to Whitehaven AFC Blue on Sunday.

Cockermouth Real also went to Workington Reds White in the League Cup second round and won 1-0 and Maryport beat Dearham Rangers Black 9-2, while in the County Cup quarter-finals Unisun Athletic won 3-1 at Castletown Dragons.

Workington Reds White drew 0-0 with Whitehaven AFC Blue in the Under-13 Division, while Seaton Athletic were 3-0 winners at home to Whitehaven Miners Social and Seaton United saw off Moor Row Black 2-0.

Seaton United ran out 9-0 winners at Whitehaven AFC Yellow in the Under-14 Division and Whitehaven Miners Social beat Senhouse 9-1, while the County Cup[ saw Castletown Tigers win their quarter-final tie at Whitehaven AFC Blue 7-2.

The sole Under-15 Division game was a 9-0 win for Workington Reds White at St Bees.

Workington Wanderers went to Cleator Moor Celtic's under-15s in the Under-16 Division and won 5-1 and also beat Castletown Athletic 2-0 in the County Cup semi-finals.

Cockermouth went to Moor Row in the Under-14 Girls' Division and were 3-0 winners.

Northbank beat Stanwix Hornets 3-1 in the Under-16 Girls' County Cup semi-finals.
