The stormy weather continued to disrupt golf at Seascale Golf Club as only 33 entries for Wednesday’s Stableford saw a reduced prize list.

David Meagan (nine)34 and Mark Jacques (eight)33 took first and second in Division One, while Leon Hutton (13) and Liam Towers (11), both on 36 points, were prize-winners in Division Two.

Kenny Burns (17) with 36 points did enough to win Division Three from Tom Porter (15)35 and Paul Woods (27)32.

Only one player returned a two, but as he had not entered, a draw was made and five players shared the pot.

The Saturday Open Texas Scramble had to be cancelled, courtesy of Storm Dennis, but in spite of the gales continuing into Sunday, 50 members played in the Stableford.

It was a good day for Mark Jacques (eight), who as well as winning Division One with 35 points returned the only two of the day.

Stephen Sharpe (nine)33 picked up second place and Jack Stubbings (five) with the best 30 got third.

Paddy Keys (11)31 and John Martindale (14)30 took the only two prizes in Division Two.

In Division Three, Wayne Rayson (27) with the day’s best of 37 won by six points and Brian O’Kane (25)31 and Mark Harris (31)29 came second and third.
