Three teams remain locked in a fierce title battle with the Hensingham Darts League drawing closer to the final, decisive games of the season.
The trio of sides who are still in with a chance of lifting the league title also still have fixtures to play against each other which looks set to make for a nail-biting finish.
All three continued their winning runs this week to keep the pressure on their title rivals, with current league leaders Frizington Vets going on the road to the Bennie’s and coming away with a 7-5 win.
HARLFC stayed in the chase with a 9-3 home win against the league’s bottom side WRLRC
And in the last game Lowca RL had an easy home win over the St Begh’s club with an impressive 11-1 scoreline which preserved their own hopes of becoming the champions.
Only one maximum 180 was recorded this week and it was scored by Kieron Timmins, of the HARLFC.
Congratulations are due to the HARLFC, who defeated the Lowca RL club 5-3 in the final of the league’s threes competition when it was played in week 13.
They were crowned the league’s threes champions for the 2019/20 season.
Week 15 will see the league’s doubles competition qualifying round fixtures take place.
