Distington will hit the road for the second round of the Challenge Cup as they travel to take on Underbank Rangers.

A comfortable 50-10 victory at home to Bedford Tigers in the first round on Saturday earned the West Cumbrians the trip to Holmfirth, which is set to take place on the weekend of January 25.

Barrow Island, who saw off visitors Rhondda Outlaws with ease in the first round, winning 84-6, will go to York Acorns.

Two of the round's ties will be streamed live, one by the BBC and one by the Rugby Football League through their Our League smartphone app.

Should they make it through, Distington could land a League 1 side like Cumbrian neighbours Workington Town or Barrow Raiders in the third round, with the Championship clubs – including Whitehaven – set to join in the fourth round and Super League sides introduced in the fifth and sixth rounds.

The full second round draw is as follows: Thornhill Trojans v Normanton Knights, Leigh Miners Rangers v Upton, Underbank Rangers v Distington, British Army v Skirlaugh, Milford v Ince Rose Bridge, York Acorn v Barrow Island, GB Police v Rochdale Mayfield, Sherwood Wolf Hunt v West Bowling, Siddal v Ashton Bears, Wigan St Patricks v West Hull, West Bank Bears v Bentley.
