St Benedict’s closed in on Cumbria League leaders Cockermouth with a 90-0 win against bottom side Creighton.
Creighton, after two very early tries, held back but Bennies’ speed was too much and Jordan Burns, Aaron Burns and Aidan Pirie ran riot for the hosts.
Bennie’s are up to second place in the table, level on points with leaders Cockermouth and with a game in hand.
In the only other Cumbria League match which was played before the Christmas break, Windermere narrowly lost out 12-14 to Carlisle Crusaders.
