Egremont Rangers player-coach John Paul Brocklebank is set to relinquish his coaching duties.

After two years at the helm, Brocklebank has decided to concentrate on playing, leaving the club searching for a new head coach.

A club statement said: “Everyone at Egremont Rangers would like to thank John Paul for his services as our head coach over the last two years.

“John Paul now feels it is the perfect time to step down in order to put all his effort and focus into just playing for us, while spending more time with his young family.

“This news now leaves us in a position where we are looking to recruit a new open age head coach ahead of the upcoming season.

“Once again the club would like to thank John Paul for all his efforts over the past two years and as a club we will continue to look forward to seeing him pull on the royal blue and white next season.”
