Denise Bland’s good record at Dubs Lane, Windermere continued on Tuesday, when Jenny's Aura strode to victory in the senior trail.

Eleven hounds had started but Jenny's Aura took the win over Christine and Victor Brownlees and Eric Cockburn’s Marlou, with Caroline Clough and Barry Laidler’s Copperfield in third place.

The puppy trail saw Shirley Crosland and Brian Graham’s Reebok take his fifth win of the season ahead of Alan Little’s Huntsman, with Joanna Satterthwaite and Martin Burrow’s Thorn Blossom third.

Earlier that day it had been Ike Walker’s funeral so it was only fitting that Overwater Jack – a hound Ike had shares in – won the Open Restricted trail ahead of Bland’s Jenny’s Breeze and Satterthwaite and Burrow’s Thorn Fire.

Wednesday was the Ennerdale Show where Stuart and James Jaynes’ Forlorn Spring strode to victory in the seniors ahead of Steph and Tony Steele’s Miterdale Copper and Jonty and Evie Moore’s Crazy. A £100 prize donated by the family of the late Sandy Bushby went to James and Emily Irving’s Overwater Sully, the winner of the puppy trail ahead of Tony Jackson, Ian Rudd and Geoff Higgin’s Kinniside Dan with Caroline Graham’s Hunter’s Flame third.

The open maidens saw a win for Anne and Mal Reay as Zulu took the spoils ahead of James and Emily’s Overwater Iris with Erin Rowlandson’s Blue Blaze third.

The open restricted saw four of the six places occupied by Ellie and Grace Napier’s Team Foxparke as Jiggly Puff took the spoils ahead of Malcolm and Ann Holmes’ Sweet Harmony with the Napiers’ Foxparke Wansfell third.

Thursday was the last of the Fellside series, where Bland’s Huntsman’s Nimrod beat Ian Donaldson’s Miterdale Steel and Maurice and Abigail Bewley’s New Agenda. The puppy trail saw Reg Smith’s Acorn take her 21st win of the season and extend her lead over rival Lillian, who took second place for Alan Blacklock, with Russ and Wendy Dawson’s Adele third.

Willie and Craig Mark’s Summer Rose took the open restricted ahead of Bland’s Jenny’s Breeze and Dot Wildling’s Wild Gypsy.

The only meeting of the weekend was Helton where Bland’s Jenny’s Aura won easily ahead of the Dawsons’ Queen with Miterdale Steele third. The senior maidens saw Tanya Satterthwaite’s Trev stride home ahead of the Holmes’ Sultan and Napiers’ Foxparke Hooligan. The pups brought a double for Bland when Jenny’s Oracle beat Overwater Sully and Alec and Jackie Steele’s Oakbank Izzy.

The open non-winners brought an easy victory for the Irvings as Overwater Iris won ahead of Tony and Connor Irving’s Bob with Lisa Whitfield’s Some Lad in third.

The veteran trail saw Thorn Fire win ahead of Reg Smith’s Aspire and Jean Metcalfe’s Explore.
