Whitehaven coach Gary Charlton has named his first starting line-up for the new League 1 season as they welcome Keighley Cougars to the Recreation Ground this afternoon.
The good news for Haven is that Jessie Joe Parker finally has clearance to play and he takes his place on the bench, alongside Sam Dowsett, Connor Holliday and Jordan Thomson.
Dion Aiye is back in action and in his half-back partnership with Callum Phillips, whose brother Brett starts in the second row.
Charlton has shown faith in up and coming speedster Andrew Bulman who starts on one wing with Dave Thompson on the other.
Haven: Forrester, Bulman, Mossop, Taylor, Thompson, Aiye, C Phillips, Shackley, Newton, Coward, Moore, B Phillips, Wilkinson. Subs: Dowsett, Parker, Holliday, Thomson.
