Workington Reds took another step forward in their relegation battle with a crucial win on the road at Grantham Town.
Reds won the Northern Premier League clash 2-0 with goals in the second half from Niall Cowperthwaite and Matty Douglas.
The game first beat the weather, following an early pitch inspection and Workington made the long trip to Lincolnshire.
And new boys Garry Thompson and Dean Brotherston were both named in manager Lee Andrews' squad. Thompson began the game with Brotherston on the bench.
The two teams were locked at 0-0 at half time but Reds put in a commanding performance in the second half to secure the vital points.
The first break for Workington came in the 650th minute when Niall Cowperthwaite drove home from 60-yards.
And then in the dying minutes Matty Douglas sealed the win with a header.
