Division One's Workington Veterans Club produced their best performance in the Window Outlet Cockermouth and District Snooker League with a 4-2 home win over Workington Conservative Club to climb to fourth.

A victory for Cons' Dave Holland got the top side off to a great start but Mike Dawson in frame two made it 1-1.

A Richard McCarthy break of 31 took care of frame three for a 2-1 Cons lead but the Vets Club upped their game with Mark Tatton, Steve Garroway and a win in the last.

Station Road B became the new leaders with a 5-1 home win over Flimby Social. A break of 49 by Flimby's Kevin Kirkham took care of the first but Tony Elliott, Shaun Ayre, Peter O’Hagan, Stephen O'Hagan and Mark Tunstall reeled off the next five frames.

Workington’s United Club made a big move in Division Two with a 6-0 home win over Maryport Social B. Willie Fearon, Andrew Mitchelhill, Clive Lister, Mark Suitor, Tony Hindmoor and Paul Johnston did the damage to move them to the top.

Division Two’s Maryport Social A and top-flight Workington Golf Club thrashed out a 3-3 draw. A 43 break for Ryan Ismay made it 1-0 however a contribution of 34 by Mark Brasted made it 1-1. Phil Sorfleet made it 2-1 to the golfers but Paul Lister pulled it back to 2-2. A Stephen Jackson victory put the golf club ahead again at 3-2, however with a black ball win in the last Andrew Henderson ensured a stalemate.

Finally, Station Road A pulled off a mini comeback Workington Legion as from 3-1 down they managed a 3-3. Chris Hunter took the first but John Teasdale hit back for Station A to take the match to 1-1. Legion's Daniel McMullen and Ian Torley moved the score to 3-1 but with Darren Lawson and Mark Robertson in fine form the Station A cueists completed the comeback.
