In the Under-12 league, Lowca had a quick turn around when opting to play two games in three days.

Firstly, they played hosts to Maryport, going down in that one by 36-4 with Ashton Briscoe being the sole points scorer for the home team.

In reply for the Port, Ashtyn Skillen crossed twice, Dylan Bragg, Louie Kirkbride, Robbie Worthington, Charlie McCombe and Kian Jones also crossed the whitewash. Dylan Bragg was on target with four goal attempts.

In Lowca’s second game, they played hosts to Cockermouth and recorded their first win of the campaign, 32-8. Tries from Oliver Hiddleston and Ashton Briscoe, both picking up two apiece, plus others coming from Robbie Park, Bobby Ennis and Bailey Worthington. Kyle Ennis landed two conversions.

For the visitors, Oliver Metcalfe and Daniel Herbert crossed for a try apiece.

Kells Under-12s made it three wins from three starts and also kept a third clean sheet when they defeated visitors Egremont Rangers 38-0. Harley Nelson was again top-scorer for Kells, the stand-off crossing for a hat trick of touch downs plus converting three goals.

Both Dylan Hodgson and Spike Canavan picked up a brace apiece with Jamie Jennings also on the score sheet with a try.

Wath Brow Under-12s took on Maryport, a top-of-the-table clash as second played third.

But it was the visitors from Allerdale who would be taking over that second placed spot after a very good performance when defeating the Brow by 40-10.

Dylan Bragg, Charlie McCombe and Kian Jones all crossed for a brace of touchdowns for Maryport, plus there was one apiece from Ashtyn Skillen and Robbie Worthington, with goals coming from Martin and Aran Fitzpatrick, both landing a couple each. For the Brow, Jake Greenough went over twice plus landing one conversion.

In the Under-14s, Hensingham took on Kells in the mid-day kick-off at the Recreation Ground and it was Kells who emerged the winners after a 30-18 winning score line. Harvie Hill and Jack Telford both crossed twice for Hensingham, with Owen Dobson landing a solitary goal.

In reply for Kells, Alfie Elliott ran in two tries, followed by touch downs for Nathan Clarke, Ashton Sice and Leo Brennan. Blaine Graham banged over five goals.

Kells Under-12s kept their winning sequence in tact when they travelled to Broughton Red Rose, but dented their clean sheet run in the 36-4 winning score line.

Harley Nelson was again in good scoring mood picking up two tries and landing four goals.

Not to be outdone, Dylan Hodgson crossed the Rose white wash on two occasions, plus there were four-pointers for Spike Canavan, Keenan Bowes and Arden Pervizaj who put in an excellent performance.

Broughton’s second-half touchdown came via Matthew Robinson.

In the Under-16 league, Cockermouth picked up their second win of the season so far when defeating visitors Wath Brow Hornets, 36-18.

The home side were 22-6 up at the break, second-rower Owen Blackburn going over for a hat-trick of tries, Nathaniel Mossop and Finn Hutton also crossed the Brow line. Jamie Stockdale landed a conversion.

For the Brow, Corie Gillespie was the try scorer, Owen Thompson added the extras.

In the second period, it was three tries apiece, Hutton crossed for his second for Cockermouth with Jamie Stockdale going over and adding the extras, plus a try for Matty Lamb.

For the Hornets, Gillespie went in for his second of the game and there was aslo tries from Lee Powell and Colton Chisholm.

Seaton Rangers travelled down the coast to take on Millom and put in a great performance in securing the points, winning comfortably in the end by 52-18.

For Seaton, both Ben Postlethwaite and Malik Steele scored hat-tricks, and there were touchdowns from Billy Challenger, Todd Wilkinson and Levi Wallbanks, with Wilkinson being on target with five goals, plus one apiece from Wallbanks, Tom Dover and Kai Wier.

Millom responded with two touchdowns from Kian McPherson and one from Dearan Crawford, plus three Jack Newbegin conversions.
