Bradford Bulls will be looking to take revenge on Workington Town at Odsal, warned coach Leon Pryce.

The Town boss says Bradford will be looking to avenge the 17-16 defeat they suffered at the hands of Workington back in April at Derwent Park.

Pryce is well aware of the threat the Bulls bring and says they will come out with ‘all guns blazing’ tomorrow.

“We will see a totally different Bradford side in this game,” warned Pryce, as he heads into battle with his former club.

“They are going to come out all guns blazing. John Kear is a mastermind in psychology and getting his team fired up.

“I don’t want our team to be caught by surprise at how fired up they will be. They will definitely want revenge for what happened at Derwent Park.”

Pryce said if the Bulls were surprised by the strength and determination of the Town side back in April, they won’t be on this occasion.

“I think John Kear said something at the time that Town has blindsided them a little,” he added.

“They had not had much rest with three games in about seven days and he said we had blindsided them in every way but we won’t have that element of surprise again.

“I know they will come out strong, prob- ably 10 times more fired up because they want to avenge that defeat.

“But that won’t catch us by surprise as I have been speaking about it all week and we are prepared for it.”

Town just edged the encounter back in April at Derwent Park 17-16 thanks to a drop-goal from the boot of Jordan Tansey with just over a minute remaining.

And Pryce believes his team have continued to come on in leaps and bounds since that game.

Bradford will be under pressure to pick up the points against Town, knowing that any slip up could cost them the league title and automatic promotion, with York City Knights level on points with them at the top.

Bradford are just 10 ahead in the points-difference column, with five games to go.

York face off against Hunslet this weekend with coach James Ford echoing Pryce’s comments this week that the pressure is all on the Bulls.

Ford said: “Bradford are still title favourites regardless.

“They’ve always been favourites and probably will be favourites up to the last game of the season. They’re former World Club champions so why wouldn’t they be?

“The pressure is not on us. We have to win our games and that’s a big challenge in itself, but people expected Bradford to run away with the competition and we’re doing our very best to stay with them.”
