It's double your money time at Borough Park tomorrow when Workington go head-to-head with Kidsgrove Athletic.

Both are bidding for the £15,000 prize which goes with a place in the final qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Reds have already banked £15,000 from two previous victories in the competition while the Staffordshire visitors have netted slightly more having started their campaign a round earlier.

They had drawn against Ramsbottom but got through 3-2 on penalties after a replay was deadlocked.

That was followed by a 2-1 win at Atherton Collieries and another away success, also 2-1 at Mossley in the last round.

In fact, Kidsgrove are unbeaten away from home so far, even notching a 2-1 win on Saturday in the FA Trophy tie at Coleshill Town while, on Tuesday night, they won 2-1 at Colwyn Bay in the League.

They are currently lying sixth in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s West Division and of their four away games have won three and drawn the other.

Although playing in a league below the Reds, they are effectively only ten places behind the Cumbrians as they get to grips in the FA Cup.

Reds joint boss Dave Hewson will be checking with fellow managers on the make up of the Kidsgrove team but insists it’s more about his own players.

“It was underlined at Hyde on Tuesday that we are a good team, with several really talented players and, when they are at it, there’s no need to be frightened of anyone in our league," said Hewson.

“We will give Kidsgrove the respect any opponent deserves but it’s about how we perform on the day.

"I want us to follow-up Tuesday’s performance with a similar one, plus some goals.

“We all know how important this competition is to the club and progressing will mean so much.

"But Kidsgrove will feel the same and there’s plenty of incentive for both of us to get through."

Veteran Kyle May, who made a fine return to the side after nearly 18 months away, will not be involved as he is cup tied from his time at Penrith.

Meanwhile, Reds will monitor the situation with Penrith as, since Reserve boss Billy Redden left to take on an assistant’s role at Frenchfields, several players have followed.

Joe Hetherington, Sheldon Mossop and Leo Holliday all played for the Bonny Blues on Tuesday in the Northern League against Bishop Auckland.

The game was abandoned shortly before half-time because of a floodlight failure with Bishops leading 2-0.

Players can be signed on dual-registration but a problem will rise when both teams play on the same day.
