Dave Hewson says the lure of a big tie with Hartlepool United will be an major incentive to his players in tonight's FA Cup replay at Kidsgrove Athletic.

Although he can't look beyond tonight's tie, joint manager Hewson says he will use the prospect of a game with the National League outfit to hopefully spur his side to victory.

Reds drew 0-0 with Kidsgrove on Saturday at Borough Park, with the Evo Stik Division One West side earning the right to a replay on their turf tonight.

"It is a massive tie in the next round, I've spoken to the players and said 'as if this game wasn't big enough already now you have an added incentive'," said Hewson.

"To go to a big club like Hartlepool, who we have beaten before, would be a massive bonus and gives us that added boost for this game.

"It is a total motivator. These are the cup ties that you want to get and the reason that we are in the FA Cup.

"We want to progress and give the players an opportunity to play against full time professional teams.

"Also to give the fans an away day to remember. These are all things that should motivate the players to want to win tonight and progress."

Hewson is sticking with the same side that drew with Kidsgrove on Saturday when they take to the road today.

And Niall Cowperthwaite will be available, despite leaving the field on Saturday.

"Cowps will be available, it was just fatigue and he will be fine to play, everyone is available so we will take the same side," said Hewson.

"We just need to improve the quality in the final third. We got into some good positions on Saturday but made the wrong decisions and didn't have the quality which we know we have got in attacking areas.

"It just didn't happen for certain players and I know that on their day, they would have created a lot, had clearer chances and scored a goal or goals.

"It is about making sure we get into good areas and converting the chances into goals."
